There have been cases of defect in consumer products, FMCG Goods, Unfair trade practise, cheating and deficiency in services by the trader. Consumer Protection Act, 1986 has been enacted to rescue the consumers. In India, there are statutes that deal with the Consumer Protection. The Consumer Law protection Act, 1986 is a mile stone in the history of socio economic legislation in India.
